With the New Year upon us, many of us are looking for ways to improve our physical, mental, and overall health and well-being. Most of us have made our resolutions; now it's time to put those resolutions into action!
We at NOLA Aikido would like to welcome you to an Open House in our beautiful location in Mid-City New Orleans for a fun afternoon for the whole family!
Come find out about the many benefits of practicing Aikido, a Martial Art of Peace for Every Body:
For Adults:

Self-Defense
-

In addition to all the benefits which adults gain from their practice, children also develop greater:
-
Discipline
-
Confidence
-
Anger Management
Aikido is an ideal martial arts for children, especially for children living in our sadly still quite violent city because it teaches them calm awareness and the ability to respond fluidly and naturally to any act of aggression. Children learn the principles of Aikido through age-appropriate games, drills, and techniques. And they have a lot of fun doing so!
So bring the whole family out and:
-
Experience a demonstration (1:30 to 2:00 p.m.) by chief instructor Brian Levy, third-degree blackbelt, as well as our other teachers and current students who will show the beauty, grace, and martial effectiveness of Aikido.
-
Hear about the physical and mental benefits of a truly meditative and healing martial art.
-
Have a chance to try a short sample class!
-
Participate in a Q and A session with current students and teachers.
-
Enjoy some healthy refreshments.
We look forward to sharing with you what we have to offer you to help you meet your personal fitness and well-being goals in 2012 and beyond!
